For advancement of dentistry and improvement of oral health for the citizens as also for encouraging research, exchange of information and for promoting Continuing Dental Education.

The College, created 80 years ago by dental leaders, with a view to recognize dentists demonstrating outstanding leadership and service to the profession, their community and society, envisioning the College as guiding the growth and evolution of dentistry. The College has been a critical force in shaping dental practice, research, education and journalism, and is currently active in creating existing directions that will enable its Fellows and the profession to identify and meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

An international honour dental organization established in 1936 deriving its name in memory of renowned French Dentist Fauchard, who is recognized as Father of modern dentistry. With its Chapters spread throughout the world, the Academy aims to elevate the character, education and opinion in dentistry; to encourage practitioners to contribute to literature and share the knowledge; encouraging outstanding contributions to the art and science of dentistry and service to the profession; to encourage continuing education; to encourage improvement of public oral health through prevention, therapy and restoration, etc.
